Super Volcanoes!

So we watched the movie Volcano in class the last few days. As I mentioned we must always view these type of "Hollywood" movies with a critical eye and always look for what can be inaccuracies in such films.   In terms of the theme of this movie.... Super-Volcanoes do exist.  Have a look at this link from the BBC discussing Yellowstone National Park.  There is only a handful of super volcanoes in the world.... is one due to erupt soon!??!?

Map of Canada Quiz

Use the map you have been working on in class as a study tool.  On Tuesday Feb. 8th you will be writing a Map of Canada quiz.  You will need to know the locations of the provinces, capitals, waterways and other cities from the outline in class.

Be prepared!
